The Magenta

The Magenta is a 37‑unit residential development in Southeast Washington DC, designed as a modern infill project that brings new housing and neighborhood‑serving retail to a rapidly evolving corridor. The building is organized atop a concrete podium that accommodates ground‑floor retail, with residential levels above that maximize light, efficiency, and long‑term durability.

Fletcher Consulting served as the Construction Manager, overseeing the project from GC mobilization through construction. Our responsibilities included contractor coordination, permitting, contract administration, cost control, schedule oversight, and coordination with the design and engineering teams to ensure constructability and quality. Fletcher also monitored progress against the development budget and ensured that construction sequencing aligned with permitting and inspection requirements.
