Fletcher Consulting was engaged to manage the construction of Sustainable Forestry Initiative’s (SFI) 10,000 SF Washington, DC office, overseeing the project from design through construction and move‑in. Serving as the client’s project manager, Fletcher coordinated all major activities to ensure the space aligned with operational needs and long‑term goals.
As SFI is a world leading sustainability organization, focused on advancing sustainable forestry and responsible purchasing globally through certification standards and certified products, a central requirement of the project was the use of SFI‑certified materials. Fletcher played a key role in guiding the team’s sourcing strategy to ensure compliance with this sustainability standard.
Our broader scope included contract management, schedule oversight, general contractor selection, audiovisual planning, and IT coordination with the client’s in‑house team. We also procured and managed voice and data cabling vendors, assisted with furniture selection, and worked closely with the landlord on TI allowance administration. Comprehensive relocation management ensured a smooth transition into the new workspace.
