NACD’s new 55,000 RSF headquarters represents a major reinvestment in the organization’s workplace and its commitment to modern governance leadership. Spanning two full floors with stunning panoramic views of Washington, DC, the project created a cohesive, connected environment anchored by a new interconnecting staircase that encourages movement, visibility, and collaboration across teams.

Fletcher Consulting provided full project management from initial planning through occupancy, guiding NACD through every phase of this build‑out. Our responsibilities included budget development and alignment, schedule oversight, design coordination, vendor and contractor procurement, and comprehensive FF&E management.

The project required disciplined coordination across design, engineering, technology, and furniture partners to ensure that each floor functioned seamlessly while supporting NACD’s evolving operational needs. Fletcher maintained clear communication with leadership, proactively managed risks, and ensured that the project’s vision, cost, and schedule remained tightly aligned.

The result is a modern, flexible headquarters that strengthens NACD’s ability to serve its national membership and provides staff with a connected, high‑performing workplace built for the future.

The completed office was recognized with the Associated Builders and Contractors’ 2025 Excellence in Construction Award, a testament to the project’s craftsmanship, design quality, and the collaborative effort led by Fletcher.
