Fletcher Consulting supported New America, a leading nonprofit think tank, in its relocation to a landmark property in downtown Washington, DC—formerly home to the American Bar Association and located just two blocks from the White House.
This move required a thoughtful balance of historic character, modern workplace needs, and the organization’s long‑term operational goals. Serving as the client’s project and relocation manager, Fletcher guided the team through planning, budgeting, and vendor alignment, ultimately assisting in the selection of HITT Contracting to deliver the buildout. The 60,000 SF project spanned four floors connected by a new interconnecting staircase, creating a more unified and collaborative environment for staff and visitors.
Sustainability was a key priority, with the project achieving LEED Silver certification. Fletcher oversaw the coordination of design, construction, and move logistics to ensure the organization transitioned into its new home smoothly and with minimal disruption.
