IREX, a global nonprofit dedicated to education, leadership development, and community resilience, undertook a major workplace transformation with the build‑out of its new 33,000 SF headquarters in Washington DC. IREX sought a modern, flexible environment that could support its hybrid work model, strengthen collaboration across program teams, and reflect its mission‑driven culture.
Fletcher Consulting served as Project Manager, guiding the effort from early planning through occupancy. Fletcher oversaw budget development and cost alignment, coordinated the design and engineering teams, managed contractor procurement, and provided day‑to‑day construction oversight. The project introduced a balanced mix of open work areas, private offices, technology‑enabled meeting rooms, and multipurpose collaboration zones designed to support both global coordination and local team interaction.
A key focus of Fletcher’s leadership was maintaining schedule and cost control while ensuring the space met IREX’s operational needs and organizational values. Through disciplined management and clear communication with all stakeholders, Fletcher delivered a high‑performing, mission‑aligned headquarters that positions IREX for its next chapter of impact.
